Who Can Participate?

Age: 5 to 80+

Requirements:

  • Willingness to learn by reading books

  • Willingness to have fun through meeting other club members

  • For the young ones to have a sponsor or PACE will assign you one

You are invited to Attend

The people of Action for Community Enrichment (PACE) invites you to join its in its Readers as Leaders program, which "rebooted" under the leadership of Dr. Ntam and Bernice Baharanyi on the 3rd week of October 2020. PACE's current  education committee chairperson is Frazelma Lynn and the Reading Club Leader is Formecca Trip.

Importance of Reading

A book is the gym of the brain. It exercises the brain, feeds curiosities and one learns new things. Some of the benefits of reading books include:

  • Improve communication skills

  • Educate and empower citizens

  • Keep the brain healthy

  • Reduce stress and anxiety

  • Motivate and inspire

  • Stimulate creativity

  • Strengthen writing abilities

  • Amplify the knowledge and make individuals smarter and sharper

  • Enhance your critical and analytical thinking
